Case study of transgender caroline sanders

Assignment Problem: I chose a case study of transgender Caroline Sanders to demonstrate how transitioning to adulthood might affect someone. Caroline experienced bullying at school, a lack of relationships with her parents and siblings, feelings of isolation, uncomfortable work environment, and a lack of a support structure while she transitioned from a male to a female. Depression, low self-esteem, tension, and worry can all result from this. Adulthood, according to Levinson theory, is a stage of undulating stability and stress that occurs and alters life-changing decisions (Hutchison, 237p). Caroline overcame obstacles to become independent and active by working, learning to drive, moving out of her parents' home, and beginning the process of transitioning to female. Having supportive roommates and attending therapist assisted her in raising her self-esteem and gaining the confidence she needs.
