Profile Rough Draft:
Choose a social problem. How does it affect society? ls it particular to one area, nation or is it global? How does it affect people individually? Now choose a person who is an example of this problem. They might still have problems with it or they might have overcome it What is their history with the problem? How are they an example of the problem? Are they a role model? Why? What can we learn from this person about the problem?
Write a profile that describes the social problem. Use the person as an example of it. You should write approximately 450 words. Use what you know about essay structure, profiles, and introductions.
1. Make sure your introduction follows the guidelines on pg 407-410. (grab attention, background information, identify topic, etc) Underline your thesis statement.
2. Describe and reveal about your person and social issue. Use an anecdote or dialogue.
3. Use a variety of sentences. Include at least 2 of each and highlight them: list (red), compound sentence (orange), complex sentence (yellow), interruption (green), adiective clause (blue).
4. You should have at least 450 words.
