a) Consider the three theories of emotion that we have discussed and provide an example of a situation in which a person might experience each of the three proposed patterns of arousal and emotion.

b) Describe a time when you used nonverbal behaviors to express your emotions or to detect the emotions of others. What specific nonverbal techniques did you use to communicate?

c) Based on the readings, did you learn any new coping mechanisms? Are there any concepts from the this class which you think can help you with emotion regulation? Can you think of a time that your emotions got the better of you? How might you make better use of your emotions?

d) Can you think of some ways to increase your positive emotions? Do you know what will make you happy? According to the readings, do you believe that material wealth is not as important as you might have thought it would be? Why or why not?
