In accounting, it is easy to automate the data entry functions but not the decision-making functions. For example, many companies use accounting software to pay bills, prepare invoices, and reconcile bank accounts. However, when it comes time to analyze whether or not the business has the necessary funds for a capital improvement, the users of financial information must pull the necessary reports and interpret them.
