The structure development of how a firm grows and expands goes through stages for development called Corporate Development. Hunger, Wheelen, Hoffman, Bamford (2015) have identified four stages for corporate structure.
- Simple Structure - Stage I
- Functional Structure - Stage II
- Divisional Structure - Stage III
- Beyond SBUs (strategic business units) - Stage IV
