Who is your favorite character in The Hunger Games? Why?
My favorite character in the Hunger Games is Rue. She is 11 years old the youngest on all the tributes games. She was from the district 11. As Katniss volunteered to keep her sister Primrose to participle on the game, she was the oldest on her family and did not have that chance. As a big sister she has the responsibility to look up for her sisters, gave them food from her ration, search about edible plants in meadows in an unpleasant district unlike the 12 0ne. Her life was not easy at all because she was older enough to sign up for tesserae so her family could have extra food. Despite her young age and small size, she was resourceful during the Games, She spent the first few days climbing through the trees and hiding. She also survived by finding edible berries and roots to eat. She was kind and sweet enough to save Katniss life by holding her the tracker jacker nest so she can uses it to destroy the Career Tributes. The interested part about that little girl was saving Katniss life when she collapsed, by having been stung by some of the tracker jackers, and slept for a few days while she was watching over her. When katniss ask her to team up, it means that she deserved it. Unfortunately, she was tangled up in the net trap that the Careers had set up and die. For me, she plays an important part on Katniss winning, if it was not for her, Katniss wont go so far in the game.
