Christians put a lot of emphasis on the life of Jesus that is reported via four different sacred writings, the gospels of the New Testament. Explain why do you think the tradition consists of four different reports on the life of Jesus? Explain why not just select the one which is most authoritative? What does the fact which the early Christians comprised four reports in their sacred writings propose regarding how they understood their knowledge of the life of Jesus?
