Can be argued that stimulus proposition relate to altruism

Problem: Considering Homans's behaviorist proposition, the Stimulus Proposition, with the example of: If you helped a friend move between apartments and that friend rewarded you by buying you dinner, then you would be more likely to help your same friend (or maybe an other) move again if free dinner was once again offered.  Can it be argued that the Stimulus Proposition is closely related to "altruism"?
