Calibrate the meter at the mid-point

G-M survey meters are generally calibrated by using small point sources of gamma radiation. By employing the inverse square law, determine how far from the source should you be in order to calibrate the meter at the mid-point of a 0-10 mR/hr scale? The dose rate at one meter from the source is around 42 mR/hr.
