Calculate the volume of oil spilled in litres

The US consumed 18.8 million barrels (Mbbl) of crude oil per day in 2009. The BP Gulf Oil Spill totaled roughly 200 million gallons of crude oil. (a) There are 42 gal per bbl. The density of crude oil is roughly 0.869 g cm-3. Crude oil is approximately 84.8% carbon by mass. How many moles of C are consumed daily in the US? (b) Calculate the volume of oil spilled in L and in barrels and calculate the percentage the total of the oil spill was compared to daily use in the USA. (c) If all of this carbon were converted to CO2, what volume in m3 would it occupy at atmospheric pressure and the global mean surface temperature of 14°C?
