Assignment Description:
For each unit during this class, you will be working with a group to complete a group assignment. For each unit, there will be a different assignment with different requirements. To receive credit for the group project, students must have demonstrated participation in the project. Participation is measured by the group discussion board, group file exchanges, and recorded group collaborate sessions. Individual assignments will not be accepted. Be sure to review the grading rubric for each group assignment. Attached below is a partial budget variance report.
Step One: Calculate the variance (complete the spreadsheet)
Step Two: Determine if any of the variances need to be investigated. Your facility has the policy that anything over a 10% variance needs to be investigated. Indicate on the spreadsheet those categories that need to be investigated and the variance percentage (high and low).
Step Three: Identify the key drivers of the cost or payment and identify the data elements that will be needed to investigate the variances.
Create a checklist of information that needs to the collected to perform the investigation. There should be at least 30 items in your checklist.
Step Four: Submit the complete spreadsheet and checklist for grading.
