Personal Restaurant Assignment:

For this assignment, you are either going to select your favorite meal at your favorite restaurant (special occasions) OR the meal that you eat the most at the restaurant that you frequent the most (weekly visits).

1. Give the name of the restaurant. Record all of the items that you eat during this meal. Include beverages, bread, and dessert as well as your entrée.

2. Using the internet or your textbook, record the grams of carbs, protein, lipids, alcohol, and fiber for each item. Calculate the total Calories for each item. Also calculate the “percent lipids” using the following equation:

% Lipid = [(grams of fat x 9) / Cal in product] x 100

3. Give a WELL WRITTEN conclusion about possible changes that you could make to help improve your diet the next time you are visiting that restaurant.

4. Briefly explain if you think taking vitamin supplements to fulfill the nutrient needs of the body is a good idea? Are we taking more vitamin supplements than our parents? Analyze how lifestyle changes have influenced this behavior.
