Calculate the stress increase below the bottom of the tank

Problem: A water tank, 15 m in diameter and 10 m high, is proposed for a site where there is an existing pipeline. (i) Plot the distribution of vertical stress increases imposed by the tank on the circumference of the pipeline (note: radial distance changes as a function of depth). Calculate the stress increase below the bottom of the tank at depths of 3 m, 3.5 m, 4 m, 4.5 m, and 5 m. The empty tank's weight (dead load) is 350 kN. Assume the water tank is filled to its capacity. For this problem, use the equation for "vertical stress" at any point beneath a uniformly loaded circular area.
