Calculate the static pressure in the exhaust jet stream

A large air storage tank is venting through a nozzle with a throat diameter of 5 cm and an exit diameter of 6 cm. The tank temperature is 30°C and the pressure is fixed at 5 MPa while the ambient pressure (into which the air exhausts) can be changed.

a. Calculate the static pressure in the exhaust jet stream at the nozzle exit for the following ambient pressures:
4.5 MPa, 3.5 MPa and 0.8 MPa.

b. Calculate the mass flow rate for the same three conditions as in a).

c. For which condition, if any, is there a normal shock inside the nozzle?

d. What is the total force exerted by the nozzle on the tank under each of the three
exhaust conditions. Note that the inlet area to the nozzle is very large, you can assume 1-d flow. (Draw a C.V. to show the forces, etc.)
