Calculate the series resistance of the 30-nh inductors

Repeat Example 1 for a 5-nH inductor using a line width of 5μm, a line spacing of 0.5μm, and four turns. Do the results depend much on the outer diameter?

Example 1
Calculate the series resistance of the 30-nH inductors studied in Examples 2 and 3 at 900 MHz. Assume μ = 4π X 10-7 H/m.

Example 2
Assuming a sheet resistance of 22 mΩ for the metal, W = 4μm, and S = 0.5μm, determine if the above set of values is feasible.

Example 3
Design the inductor of Example 4 with W = 3μm, S = 0.5μm, and N = 10, using metals 7, 8, and 9 in parallel.

Example 4
We wish to design a spiral inductor for a 900-MHz GSM system. Is the 5-nH structure considered in Example 2 suited to this application? What other choices do we have?
