Process Flow-
Your roommates are concerned that your dorm room is hideous. You decide to paint it. It's currently full of you stuff. Its noon now and you have people coming over at 6 pm. Diagram the process of managing the paiting process recognizing you have a 6pm commitment.
For each step list all the following that applies: customer(s), outputs, suppliers(s), inputs, and ways to measure success.
Use the drawing toolbar. Use AutoShapes/Flowchart to select appropriate shapes. Once you have created a shape, right click on it and select "add text" to insert the description of process step. List the supporting information under each step using a text box and select the "no line" property under formatting.
Fill the process steps that add value green and fill all others yellow.
Process Capability-
A) Calculate the process capability indices, Cp and Cpk (make sure to use formulas to calculate the answer, never type a literal answer in Excel)
B) Crunchy Potato Chip plant sells packaged chips with a printed net weight of 846 grams. Their packaging specification limits are +/- 14 grams of this published fill weight. Currently the process is running at a mean of 852 grams with a standard deviation of 2.93 grams. The firm requires a process capability ration of at least 1.33 to be deemed "capable." Is the process capable? Is an adjustment ---needed?
