Calculate the oil production rate and calculate the well

Production Engineering

1. Calculate the wellhead pressure for the production of 1000 bbl/d of oil with a density of 0.85 g/cm3 and a viscosity of 3 cp in a 10000-ft vertical well having a bottomhole pressure of 6000 psi and a 2-in., 3.4-lbm/ft tubing. The inner diameter of a 2-in., 3.4-lbm/ft tubing is 1.75 in., and the relative roughness is 0.003.

2. Calculate oil rates of two wells in an undersaturated oil reservoir using generalized Vogel's equation. The following data are given:

Reservoir pressure, pi = 6000 psia

Bubble point pressure, pb = 3600 psia

Tested flowing bottom-hole pressure in Well A, pwf1 = 4300 psia

Tested production rate from Well A, q1 = 500 stb/day

Calculate the oil production rate if flowing bottom-hole pressure is 2000 psia

Tested flowing bottom-hole pressure in Well B, pwf1 =  3000 psia

Tested production rate from Well B, q1 = 1300 stb/day

Calculate the oil production rate if flowing bottom-hole pressure is 3700 psia

3. If the permeability impairment k/ks is 5, the damage penetration is 4 ft, and rw =0.328 ft, calculate the well skin effect. What should the k/ks  be for the same skin effect if the penetration of damage is 6 ft.
