Edmond Co. is a company that produces and sells t-shirts with cloth and yarn as the raw material, and standard costing to control the production cost. The following is standard data for 1 unit of t-shirt:
• It takes 200 cm of fabric and 0.25 roll of thread, where the price of the fabric is IDR 75,000/meter and the price of yarn is Rp. 20,000/roll.
• Raw materials are processed by direct labor for 30 minutes at a rate of Rp 25,000/hour
• Variable Overhead is allocated based on direct working hours at a rate of RP 15,000/hour
In January 2021, 5,000 units of T-shirts were produced using 10,500 meters of cloth and 1000 rolls of yarn. The raw materials are obtained from the initial inventory of 2,500 meters cloth and 100 rolls of yarn, the rest were purchased at a price of Rp. 77,000/meter of fabric and Rp 19,000/roll of yarn. Raw materials are processed by direct labor which spends 2,300 hours at a rate IDR 27,000/hour. Variable overhead that occurred during the month of January was Rp. 35,000,000.
