Calculate the density and range of the object

To find the mass of a metal object to be 27.02 g, a student used a triple beam balance (accurate to 0.01g) and then used a 50mLgraduated cylinder to calculate the volume of the object was 19mL. A second student, calculated to obtain a better lab grade, took much longer to calculate the mass of the object using an analytical balance,(accurate to 0.1mg) and obtained a mass of 27.0187 g. However the same graduated cylinder was used to calculate the volume.

1) Calculate the density and range of the object as calculated by the first student?

2) Calculate the density and range of the object as considered by the second student?

3) Explain how are the result's in p (a) and (b) different?

4) Which student has calculated the more accurate density?

5) Discuss how could the experimental error of the research be improved?
