Calculate the current flowing through the wire

Electrical conductivity of stainless steel at room temperature is 0.2 x 107 ?-1 m-1. A 10 foot long piece of stainless steel wire of diameter 60 mil (60x10-3 in.) is subjected to an electric potential of 6 volts d.c.

Calculate a) the current flowing through the wire, and

b) the thermal energy in calories developed by the wire due to the current flow and the resistance offered by the wire to current flow (1W = 1J/s).
