Calculate the cost equation using both the hi-low method

Using the date set in the Excel file called Excel Assignment

Calculate the cost equation using both the Hi-Low Method and the Least-Squares Regression method. You completed Excel workbook will contain three worksheets titled: Data, Scattergraph, and Regression.

Data Worksheet Requirements

• Using the Hi-Low Method, compute the Cost Equation for the data (fixed and variable cost need only be displayed to two decimal placed)

• All work must be shown and clearly labeled.

• All entries except the Cost Equation must be done using cell referencing or formulas.

• You must use the Excel MIN and MAX functions.

• Enter a header with the following information

o Your Name (left aligned)

o Excel Assignment 1 (centered)

o Page x of x pages (Where the first x is the page number and the second x is the total number of pages in the workbook. Note that both x's must be entered as variables.) (right aligned)

Scattergraph Worksheet Requirements

• Graph must contain the following elements

o Title

o X and Y Axis Labels

o Treadline extended to Y intercept

o Regression Equation

o R2 Value

• Extra credit given for outstanding chart design. (This means going beyond the default scattergraph settings and making the graph look really nice.)

Regression Worksheet

• Format worksheet to print on one page (no scaling) using landscape orientation.

• Adjust column widths so all text is displayed in cells properly (no overlap of text between cells)

• Enter the Cost Equation based on the regression analysis in cell A20
