Calculate rate of condensation of steam in lb-h

In a laboratory, steam is condensed at atmospheric pressure (i.e., @ 212°F) on the shell-side of a vertically-oriented double-pipe condenser. The inner pipe (tube) of this heat exchanger has a O.D. of 1" and is 10 feet long; the inside film coefficient and the average temperature of the cooling water flowing through the inner tube are 440 Btu/ft2-h-°F and 50 °F, respectively. Assuming that the condensate flow is laminar, calculate the rate of condensation of steam in lb/h. Verify whether the assumption of laminar flow is correct or not. Make the following additional assumptions in your calculations: 1. The tube wall offers negligible resistance to heat transfer. 2. The tube wall temperature (Tw) is about 169 °F.
