A capacitor of 4micro-farads is charged to a p.d. of 400 V and then connected in parallel with an uncharged capacitor of 2 micro-farads. Calculate the p.d. across the parallel capacitors and the energy stored in the capacitors before AND after being connected in parallel. Explain the difference.
