Hot oil (Cp=2.3 KJ/kg.C) at a rate of 2.5 kg/s enters an adiabatic exchanger at 180 C and leaves at 150 C. Cooling water (Cp=4.18 KJ/kg.C) enters the exchanger at 20 C and leaves at 45 C. Calculate: a) The heat lost by the oil and the cooling water mass flow rate, and b) The entropy generation and irreversibility for this overall process. Take To=25 C.
