Assignment task: All this talk of corona virus is a bit too heavy. Let's suppose the world is in danger, but instead it's a different epidemic: an epidemic of zombies. Oh, and there's also an epidemic of... werewolves? Sure, that sounds good. Suppose that each zombie comes in contact with 10 humans before it is killed (headshot, double tap, naturallv). Zombies are slow, right? But zombies are also super infectious; for each person contacted bv a zombie, there is a 30% chance that the victim will become a zombie as well. Suppose that each werewolf, bv contrast, comes in contact with 50 humans before it is killed (with a silver bullet, of course). For each person contacted by a werewolf, there is a 1% chance that the victim will become a werewolf.

A. Calculate the basic reproduction number for the zombie epidemic.

B. Calculate the basic reproduction number for the werewolf epidemic.

C. Based on your answers, explain which is the greater danger to the world: Zombies or werewolves.
