To prepare:

- Focus on multiple issues in the case of "Evelyn C." on page 396 of Abnormal Psychology.
- Make a diagnosis and be sure to include all relevant diagnoses.
The Assignment: (1-2 pages)
- Briefly summarize the case of "Evelyn C."
- Explain your diagnosis. Provide specific supporting information.
- Describe additional information that might be significant to the assessment, treatment, and welfare of the client.
- Briefly describe the interventions you would recommend, and explain why you would make these recommendations.

Diagnosing a personality disorder can be extremely challenging. In this Discussion, you will examine a diagnosis for a client with a personality disorder and discuss the factors that complicate that diagnosis.

- Focus on the reasons diagnosing personality disorders is difficult.
- Review all categories of personality disorder described in the DSM-5.
- Select a diagnosis from Chapter 10 to focus on in your Discussion post.
- Put the name of the diagnosis you chose in the subject line of your post.
With these thoughts in mind:
Post a summary of the diagnosis you selected, as well as a brief description of a treatment approach you would recommend or how the diagnosis might be applied to forensic context. Then, explain how the diagnosis informs treatment planning or could influence a court-related issue.
