(a) The state should provide a defense lawyer for those charged with crimes who cannot afford one themselves.
(b) Abortion means killing a baby. It is wrong, whatever the law says.
(c) When entering a private home in Japan, one ought to take one's shoes off.
(d) The murder and nonnegligent manslaughter rate in New York City has fallen from 2245 in 1990 to 352 in 2015.
(e) "You shall have no other gods before Me."
