1. Briefly explain the artists relationship around nature in Early Chinese Culture, and how it differs from Roman culture.

Conceptually, Gardner's history of art has always distinguished between the lineage of western civilization (Egypt/Mesopotamia/European cultures) and other cultures that have developed seperately from this lineage (Africa, the Asian cultures, the Native Americas, Islamic Cultures).
