Paper Assignment
Write a one-page (1.5-2.0 spaced) paper, which answers both of the following 2 questions about Aristotle's The Nicomachean Ethics:
1) Briefly explain, as best you can, why what Dr. van calls the "recognition challenge" can be helpful for understanding the important relationship between moral virtue and Eudaimonia in Aristotle's ethical theory.
2) How does Aristotle distinguish between mere cleverness and practical wisdom in chapter 12 of N. E., Bk. VI?
Present your answer to the above question within a single paper of one page in length. If you "end up" with more than 1 page, I suggest you revise again so that the paper can be acceptable.
No cover pages, simply put your name on the top of the page.
Hard copy is due Friday, March 16, at the beginning of class.
You may place any references from the course text in parentheses, e.g., (NE23) for p. 23 of The Nicomachean Ethics.
