Identify, research, and write about a "high profile" crime of your choice. The case you choose should be relatively familiar to most of us with information about the case readily available on-line or from other sources. The case may be older or may be a current case that is still under investigation provided you can obtain enough information to meet the needs of the assignment. An example might be the kidnapping and murder of the Charles Lindberg baby in 1932. Your paper should address many of the following areas:
date of the crime,
Who are the major people involved (victim, suspect, investigators, etc.),
Briefly describe the details of the crime,
What agency(s) investigated the crime,
Discuss investigative efforts involved to resolve the case,
What impact did the notoriety/media attention have on the investigation,
What was the end result of the case,
Provide any other information of interest related to our topic of criminal investigation.
