The perceptual process can be described in seven basic steps, plus knowledge.
1) In your own words, briefly describe each step and knowledge.
2) Consider the flow of information. At what point in the process does sensation occur? Is there a distinct and identifiable point where sensation ends and perception begins? Is the point between sensation and perception located at the same place for all people? Explain.
3) Discuss the interaction during this process. For example, how can perception alter sensation? How do you think attention and interest factor into this process?
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
