Briefly describe the original art work you selected what

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Select a work of art that was created between 1870 and 1930 - anywhere in the world - that affects you personally.

• Discuss below how you would transform that image to make a strong personal statement using one of the following contemporary visual arts media: photography, video or computer-based media.

• NOTE TO HELP: Visual artists sometimes create a work based on a past work of art. As an example to help you with this assignment consider that EduardManet created Le Dejeuner sur L'herbe (1883) based on Marcantonio Raimondi's The Judgment of Paris (c. 1588-1530). (See figures 19-25 and 19-24, respectfully in Chapter 19 of A World of Art.) Sometimes the artist's agenda is political, satirical or imitative, and sometimes the artist chooses this way to challenge established aesthetic values.

PLEASE NOTE: Read each question and the rubric below carefully. You may use first-person ("I") where appropriate. Minimum 150 words per response unless otherwise indicated. Cite definitions and research from your assigned text, electronic readings or other peer-reviewed sources (see Instructor Policies for guidance):
