Checklist for preparing presentations

1. Both students should read the whole text carefully and come to a common  understanding of what the authors mean to say.

2. Compose a presentation in which you describe:

a. the background context and facts referenced in the text,

b. what related literature tells us, as interpreted by the author,

c. the research question that the text will answer,

d. the theory, empirical implications, and hypotheses of the text,

e. the design of the empirical tests in the text,

f. the data used in the empirical tests of the text,

g. the facts, findings, and results emerging from the text,

h. how the authors interpret those facts,

i. the overall contribution of the text to our knowledge about the topic,

j. any original perspectives that you have on parts a through i above.

3. Put the presentation in a deck of slides of no more than 10 slides, including excerpts from the text where necessary.
