Boss justified in making suggestion based solely on data

You work for a major shoe company that was recently criticized for making using child labor in the production of goods. Your boss takes this critique seriously and conducts a conjoint analysis survey to find attitudes about the willingness to pay for certain types of shoes that either are or are not made with child labor. She asks people to provide an attitude rating of their willingness to pay for different attributes (e.g., Leather, cushioning, color, Child labor/No Child Labor). The regression analysis shows that consumers say that they are willing to pay the additional 10 percent more that it costs for a shoe product that is NOT made with child labor. She wants to use this information to convince the Senior management to switch its production practices. Is your boss justified in making this suggestion based solely on the data? Explain why. If not, explain your reasoning and explain what she needs to do methodologically to make a stronger case.
