This is a book Review for a World History Course (year 1500-present day). The Book is The Communist Manifesto (Plus the appended criticism) by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.
The Communist Manifesto is the ONLY SOURCE needed for this book review. Please do not use any other sources.
This book review must include ALL of the following:
- The title page needs to be separate from the paper’s text, it remains unnumbered, & it MUST identify the author [& any editor or translator], title & the publication date of your chosen book.
The rest of the pages are to be numbered.
[1] Identify the author’s thesis [principal argument which the author must then defend].
[2] provide an overview of the subjects addressed in the volume.
[3] develop 4-5 of the topics that you deemed most important & indicate why you focused upon those topics
[4] describe any included supplemental materials like charts, glossaries, maps, pictures, web connections, etc. & evaluate their value.
[5] assess the overall value of the work & indicate how it relates to the content of this course (This Course is world History from the year 1500 to present day).
[6] indicate whether or not you recommend the book & why you have reached your conclusion. You can organize the foregoing elements however you wish.
[7] Please No series of long quotes.
[8] If the quotes are 2 1/2 lines in length or better single space and indent the quotes.
