"Bob is the Deputy assistant Associate Vice-President of Intergalactic Industries. One day his boss, Big Joe, called Bob into his office and told him that because Intergalactic lost a big government contract, he had to let Bob go. Big Joe was sorry but he had no alternative. However, Bob had back vacation pay and would be given a severance package of $100,000 to ease his transition to another job. About a week later, Bob saw an ad in the Business Journal for new franchise seeking franchisee for a business venture known as “Roadkill Restaurant,” Bob was interested. He always wanted to own a restaurant but he did not have the education or knowledge as to how to fulfill this dream."

What questions should Bob ask Roadkill?

Should Bob talk to anyone else other than Roadkill?

What information is roadkill required by FTC regulation to provide Bob? What advantage are there for Bob in obtaining a a Roadkill franchise as opposed to staring his own restaurant?

Based on the facts that are presented, is there any advice that you, personally, would give Bob, in regards to the severance pay that he will receive?
