Big Data Computational infrastructure and Warehousing in Healthcare.

Abstract

Big Data has the future of creating significant value to healthcare system by improving the end result or issues thereby lowering the costs of database operations. Healthcare stands to benefits from several major development in Big Data computation, which demands a huge storage space or warehousing. This paper takes a contiguous looks at how big data is improving healthcare data infrastructure based on the data collection through medical records, data showing through health information programs. Nonetheless, most health infrastructural systems still rely on old data warehouse forms, without the right warehousing infrastructure, analytic tools, visualization approaches, work flows, and interfaces, the insights provided by big data are likely to be limited. Research had shown how Big Data had create value in health care system in areas of medical records approaches, this success might change with potential policies to balance the societal benefits of big data and protection regarding of patients confidentiality. This research intend to establish a clear view about Big Data, which includes its application in healthcare, opportunities in data management, challenges relating to warehousing, integrated platform for Big data clouds and finally discuss open challenges and future direction of big data in healthcare systems.
