One of the best ways to slow down the conversation is to ask questions. Keep asking until you feel that you understand the issue, problem, or solution being proposed. At least by asking, others will have a chance to jump in and answer with their ideas, and it helps to get all of the input out in the open. Do any of you use that strategy? Does it work for you?
