To get you all thinking about your EMR/EHR Assessment, I would like you to do an internet search on Physician Practice Electronic Medical Record Systems. Once you have found one that you like, please list the following:
• System capabilities (i.e. appointment scheduling, reports, billing, etc.)
• Is it Internet based?
• What patient safety features does it utilize?
• Are options available to base system? (i.e. can it be customized, can it be integrated to other medical applications)
• System costs?
• Any other pertinent information?
• Is there anything else you would like to see this EHR do?
