Being institutionalized

Assignment:

‘Being Institutionalized.’

We have many loop holes in our Criminal Justice system that many of the crimes committed aren’t given the right amount of punishment. The lack of a severe punishment leads only to more crimes to occur only because the first time the criminal gets away easily which processes through their minds that they can do it again and again and maybe again to never learn their lesson. This is why as a country we fail to protect the citizens and societies affected by criminals. I believe that if the right punishment is given for the crimes done the crime rate will drastically go down. If criminals can’t cooperate with society’s rules we place them in prisons where they have no choice but to follow the rules and regulations to not be punished harsher. When people see that breaking the law has no easy route but a given punishment, the less crimes will be committed.
