This is the first of three chapters that relates specifically to public communication. For this assignment select a noteworthy speech that has been delivered to an audience since 1950. You should be able to identify the date on which the speech was delivered, the location, and the occasion, as well as the audience. Aristotle's three means of persuasion: ethos, logos, and pathos.
In a 350-400 word, 3-paragraph, double-spaced document, answer the following questions.
In Paragraph #1, identify the speech. Describe the occasion, audience, date, and any other relevant facts about the event itself.
In Paragraph #2, identify the speaker. Provide background information about him or her.
In Paragraph #3, briefly analyze the speech itself, indicating which form of persuasion--logos, ethos, or pathos--was most dominant. Provide an example to support your assessment.
