Beauty criterion (Dirac)
The idea that the more aesthetically pleasant a theory is, the better it is. Of course this criterion does not stand up to the real test whether or not predictions of a given theory agree along with observational tests however considering that it is a aesthetic quality purely that is being tested, several most successful theories (special relativity, quantum electrodynamics, general relativity, etc.) match the criterion specifically well.
