Each radio cell site in a network requires connectivity between the BSS and a mobile switching centre (MSC), which can be implemented by metallic cable, fibre cables, or microwave radio links.
The technology, capacity and topology of the network connecting cell sites to MSC will depend on many factors, including technical and economical requirements.
The task for this part of the project is to choose a location for the MSC and establish a fixed network based on technical feasibility and traffic requirements.
