Be specific about plant parameters such as flows

Overview

A nuclear or a coal, gas, or oil fired power plant generates electricity through a number of energy conversion processes. The efficiency of the plant as a whole is determined by comparing the energy input to the electrical energy output. The final paper is to suggest ways to improve the efficiency of the power plant as a whole. List examples of new processes that could be used or processes which are already in use that can be improved.

Be specific about plant parameters such as flows, temperatures, and pressures in your examples. Tables and figures (including charts and graphs) should be used if they would be helpful in the explanation. Any cautions or concerns should also be included.

The paper shall be 8-10 pages, exclusive of tables, figures, and references (12 pt. New Times Roman, double spaced). Cite all your sources. TheAPA Style shall be used.

The final project contains two assignment submissions: an outline of the final paper and the final paper.

Consult the Course Calendar for the due dates for both the outline and the final paper.
