The assignment involves looking at the archives of the Daily Titan (your student newspaper) and pick one article from the 1960s and 1970s (if you can find some related articles from the 1980s that would be acceptable) related to the topics that will be addressed in class. The topics range from ethnic Studies, Students organizing, Black protest, Anti-Vietnam rallies, Chicanos, Asian American activism, Cesar Chavez, etc.

“Archives can also be found in print and on microfilm at the Pollak Library”

“Microfilm copies are self-service and can be found in the basement compact storage area in Pollak Library North. The call number for the microfilm archive is AN 14 F9 T4.”

“Print copies can be read in the Pollack Library Special Collections archive reading room Monday and Tuesday from 1 – 4 p.m. and Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon”
