Research a well-known leader, past or present. This can be a leader in business, sports, or politics. Write a 5-7 page Research Paper (citing a minimum of three sources) that discuss the following:
1. Based upon your research and what you have read about the trait approach, what personality characteristics does this leader display?
2. Based upon your research and what you have read about the behavioral approach, does this leader focus more on task performance or more on group maintenance?
3. Based upon your research and what you have read about the path-goal theory, what type of leadership style does the leader practice - directive, supportive, participative or achievement-oriented?
4. Why do you feel this individual was/is an effective leader?
5. In what ways do you feel the individual's leadership could be improved?
