1.) Why do you believe CRS has become such a "hot topic" within Management circles (and courses)? What changes have taken place in the business environment that have contributed to this phenomenon?
2.) Identify and explain three reasons Apple has moved the majority of its "supply chain" to Asia. Do you believe it is Apple's responsibility to, as stated in the article, "fix America's problems by bringing some of its jobs "back home?" What role, if any, can/should American policy makers play in this? If Apple doesn't fix it, and the government doesn't fix it - who does? Identify a company or industry that HAS brought some of its manufacturing functions home -- how and why has that happened?
