The sample mean amount of protein and the assumed standard deviation for each type of nut are given in the table below.

a. Find a 95% confidence interval for the true mean amount of protein in each type of nut. Based on these intervals, is there any evidence to suggest that the mean amount of protein is different for cashews and pecans? How about filberts and pecans?

b. Answer part (a) using a sample size for each nut of 18.
