Based on the following information, what would you consider to be the most prominent strengths and weaknesses of the StilSim company?
When we consider the organizational capability strengths of StilSim, we again must venture back into what the core competencies are of the organization. The interesting thing about this particular section is that while the competency somewhat plays into a strength for StilSim, what they are not doing with it, in terms of an organizational capability, acts as a weakness. Consider the credibility of the firm having been around for 25 years, it is something that not only can they show their success stories for during this tenure, but also one they can use to leverage the skills and expertise of their staff. Without the right people and ideas being generated from talented individuals, most business would parish well before making it to a 25-year mark. This correlates to two other pertinent pieces within this section, their networking capabilities and the service for which they can provide.
They have many great clients all of which can give the company an abundance of positions to staff. The matter is there is a sincere necessity to play off of these connections and network to build more of these relationships ultimately contributing to more positions and therefore, more revenue. This simple credibility can also correlate to the specific nature of their services. They have the ability to provide both temp and perm placements. With the networking factor, the ability to break into another market and industry are at the highest peak of which they are not currently embracing. Of course there are important variances that would help to make this easier like the use of social media per say, but when broken down in its simplest form, there is a common ground to filter all of these together and build upon what the organization already has.
