Average number of defected items


A lab manager is trying to nd the number of defected items produced in two dierent shifts:

Day Shift and Night Shift. Let the average number of defected items in the Day Shift is 20 out of 2000 items and that in the Night Shift is 15 out of 1300 items. Let the defectiveness of the item follows a poisson distribution. If you are given a random a random group of 10 items (all are only from either Night Shift or Day Shift) and 2 of them are defected, nd the most-likely-hood ratio and also nd both the types of errors.
